Reaching for Life

Acts 17:27, 28(part) NKJV

… so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, …

I saw a picture of people reaching out for the life of Christ from any source they could find. They reached out, not knowing what they were after. People were attracted to it and had to have it. We are created to desire and obtain true life.

Before accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our lives are selfish and limited. Our actions result in emptiness. Failure to thrive comes and an awareness of our insignificance becomes evident. Without Jesus, our thoughts can never carry true life. We come
face-to-face with ourselves, and what we find often scares us.

Life without Jesus is no life at all.

The best decision anyone can make is choosing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are all born to choose Jesus and have relationship with Him through the Holy Spirit.

As we grow in relationship with Jesus, His new life forms in us. The things we used to stumble on have less hold on us. We rejoice in newfound freedom and carry an exhilarating hope for the future. The old life has passed away and God is doing something new
in us!

As carriers of Jesus’ life, we can meet the hands that are reaching out for Him. We have the opportunity of sharing life and showing people the way. The life of Christ has far greater capacity to touch people and transform them than if we kept it only for ourselves.

Today is the day of salvation. People are looking for Jesus. We must carry His life freely to others. Their lives depend on it.
