Expect God’s Faithfulness

One of the most amazing things about being a child of God is the realization of His faithfulness. We are drawn to it, we hope in it, we trust in it, we expect it and we are amazed by the outcome of it. We learn not to be surprised by God’s faithfulness because
surprise carries with it something we aren’t expecting to happen. As we grow in faith, we learn to expect God’s faithfulness and instead, become amazed by the wonder of His love for us.

As we trust God in our lives, He will draw us to His faithfulness by the Holy Spirit. When we go to God with a situation that needs a life-filled outcome, He leads and guides us into the truth of that matter; His truth. This comes through God’s Word, through
spirit-filled wisdom, through thoughts or dreams, or from His very own words in response to prayer.

There is a calm when we bring our cares to God. Peace takes the place of worry and fear and, as we stay in that place, God will lead us through the faith-journey of His faithfulness. It is not an easy road, but God’s realized faithfulness is so much better
than anything we could do on our own.

As we continue to walk by faith in different situations, God leads us to personal growth, deeper love for others, stronger revelation of the fullness of who He is, and a better understanding of the truth that needs to result. We find that God doesn’t work the way
we naturally do; He has a heavenly perspective that produces heavenly results. As we connect with His ways, the path becomes clearer and the journey more satisfying. The view is changed and we begin to see the bigger picture; to see what God sees. We desire
to see things on earth as they are in heaven. We find it every bit worth the effort to respond to God’s faithfulness as He answers prayer through us.

As we look back to the beginning of our journey, we find that God has far surpassed anything we thought or hoped for in that situation. We see that He hasn’t just answered our prayers, He has deeply touched people with His love. Everywhere He has been is changed
forever by His life. What started out as a prayer has become a God-glorifying result and the result is beautiful!

Psalm 36:5 NIV

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,

Your faithfulness to the skies.
