Sometimes I wonder if we fight enough to receive the healing Jesus paid for us to have in our bodies.
We need to remember that Jesus didn’t pay such a great price for our wholeness for us to pick and choose the pains we tolerate. JESUS PAID FOR IT ALL.
The Bible isn’t filled with stories of people who only received healing when they were dying from sickness, so why do we often only pursue healing when it’s about to take our lives? Why are we afraid of death and apathetic when considering life without sickness? Why do we accept less than Jesus paid for us to have when the Word of God clearly states that Jesus bought our healing with His stripes?
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
To receive healing by faith takes courage. It sometimes requires that we step past a temporary fix for an eternal truth. We need to trade our apathy and fear for trust in God. Then we can receive the healing that is found in His Word. If Jesus thought it was important to give to us, enough for Him to take severe pain punishment for, let’s value our wholeness and take what He’s offering.
I encourage you to take a step forward into the healing Jesus paid for you. Ask God to help you value the healed body Jesus paid for you. Read scriptures on healing. Memorize them. Picture yourself as the healed. Speak healing truth over yourself. Then stretch your faith and take what Jesus is holding out to you: YOUR HEALING. It’s part of the gift of your salvation.
