Jesus, My Victory

Recently I felt really weird, like I was getting sick. I don’t get sick very much so this was unusual for me. I praise God that it feels unusual to me because He keeps me in good health through His word and gracious love for me.
I rested and listened to worship music. At bedtime I thought about the victory of Jesus Christ in me. When I imagined what my body looked like as victorious in Christ, I somehow pictured it in weakness and being overcome by sickness. I was soon startled by the words I loudly heard in my spirit: “THAT IS NOT WHAT THE VICTORY OF JESUS CHRIST LOOKS LIKE AT ALL!”
I looked at my body again and I knew that I needed to change what I was seeing because it wasn’t victorious at all! I sought out what the Holy Spirit was trying to show me. I went over the words “by His stripes you were healed” and I pictured Jesus in my place. It didn’t take long to see the victory of Jesus Christ IN ME. I knew I received what Jesus paid for me because the picture of my body changed. In my mind, I could ONLY see the victory and healing of Jesus Christ. It was overwhelming! I received healing in my physical body right then and there.
There are times when I have to fight a little longer to receive by grace what Jesus has already done for me. Today was different. With the help of the Holy Spirit I connected with the true victory of Jesus Christ and I am well. Praise God!

Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
